Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Spur app and garage.getspurapp.com, operated by Alloui Enterprises LLC, d/b/a RainyStudios / Spur (“Spur”, “we”, “us”).
Beta service
Spur is in beta. Features can change, and you may find defects. Keep your own copies of anything critical. Our Privacy Policy still applies in full during beta.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Spur. During the open beta Spur is offered in the United States only. Keep your sign-in details secure and your information accurate. You can delete your account at any time (how to delete your account).
Your content
You own the vehicle records, notes and images you add. You allow Spur to store, process and display them only to provide the service to you, for as long as you keep them in Spur. Do not upload content you have no right to share.
Plans and subscriptions
Spur offers Free and Spur Plus. Prices in US dollars:
- Spur Plus — $2.99 per month
- Spur Plus — $24.99 per year
Free ($0) includes up to 2 vehicles and the full local, offline maintenance experience: service history, mileage, maintenance records, VIN entry and decode, and reminders.
Spur Plus includes unlimited vehicles, cloud sync, multi-device sync, web access, cloud photo storage, cloud backup and recovery, and full exports.
If your plan ends while you have more than 2 vehicles, Spur does not delete your vehicles or history. You can still view and edit them, but you cannot add a vehicle until you have fewer than 2 vehicles or you resubscribe to Spur Plus.
Renewal and cancellation
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before that renewal is processed. Local prices and taxes are shown at checkout.
- You may cancel at any time to prevent future renewals. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and you keep paid access through the end of that period.
- We recommend cancelling at least 7 days before your next billing date to reduce the risk of an unintended renewal or processing delay. This is a recommendation, not a deadline: if your cancellation is successfully processed before the renewal occurs, the subscription will not renew.
- Cancel in your Apple ID subscriptions (App Store purchases), your Google Play subscriptions (Google Play purchases) or the subscription management link for web purchases.
Refunds
- Web subscription payments are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
- Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to that store’s billing, renewal, cancellation and refund policies. Spur cannot override Apple’s or Google’s refund decisions; request refunds from the store.
Deleting your Spur account is separate from cancelling: Spur cancels web renewals and requests Google Play cancellation on deletion, but cannot cancel Apple subscriptions.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to access other accounts, disrupt the service, reverse-engineer protected parts, or use Spur unlawfully.
Vehicle information
VIN decoding and maintenance suggestions can be incomplete or wrong. They are not a mechanic’s inspection or safety advice; follow your manufacturer’s guidance.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. You may stop using Spur and delete your account at any time.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state and federal courts located in Indiana, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. These terms do not require arbitration and do not limit rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived. Disclaimer and liability terms will be added after legal review.
